Understanding strategies just like you would learn the rules “by heart” helps in the long run.
When we play Texas holdem, if we have done a lot of case studies about the several strategies of a kind of hand, it would be easier to arrive at a decision than without making some studies of strategies and their end result.
For example, when we decide to play A-K to see the flop, decision making would be easier if we are informed that A-K can be a trap hand if there is not going to be good favorable cards in the flop.
