Before you play holdem Poker for the first time, just do a simple thing, go the playable starting hands list. Decide on what you will be playing. Do not play all the holdem poker hands. If you not get dealt with the hand that you are expecting better fold. Do not get bugged up even if you are folding for the umpteenth time.
There is going to be a structured set of expectations for any pocket you get dealt with. for example for every non-identical pockets there are going to be 16 different combination of deals, each deal will have a standard expectation like you can try for a flush, straight or quads or trips. With the kind of pockets you hold in holdem poker decide what is probable. Play small ball in the pre-flop for the hand you decided to play. then when the flop comes see what you can make with the pocket you have. If you see that someone is having a better hit than what you can, reanalyze logics of them being better than you, if you see you are in the progressive side go to the turn, if you see you are on the better scale go aggressive. Do not fold in the river, just dare to see the showdown.
