Heads Up In Holdem Poker

When the odds on holdem poker do not seem to add up better make a call, and there are many people that are playing it this way forgetting that they are making the situation more costly for themselves.  They think it is increasing the implied odds, but it can cause hurt implied estimates when over done in the wrong place with mediocre or weak hands.  Callers make very less winning.

Holdem poker is a game of very less sequential information and on the more the available information is for the most part incomplete.  In a gaming situation where there will be a lot of players heads up in holdem poker the out come of the winning and decision making of one player is greatly influenced by the decision making of others in the table.  However, with experience in holdem poker games and based on reanalysis of hand histories it is quite possible to optimize the playing strategies in a way to work better most of the time.  Though any strategy might not be optimized to work 100% of the time, it can be optimized to be workable for a major class of situations.  Doing this is the key to becoming a pro.  A kind of generalized optimization of strategies.
